I’ve decided to add a list of what I’m presently reading here on the blog. Yes, at any given time I’m reading somewhere between 3 and 8 books. Of course, how actively I’m “reading” them is relative since I get in the middle of 1 only to set to it to the side while taking up a book that has really grabbed my attention. Then I reach a point where I feel that I have too many books going and I finish them off 1 by 1 until I’m down to 1 or 2. Once I arrive there, I begin to gradually increase the number of books I’m reading…and the cycle continues.
A handful of the books I’ve finished lately include:
God’s Politics, by Jim Wallis
The Gospel of Mark (NIV)
Abandonment to Divine Providence, by Jean-Pierre de Caussade
Christ the Center, by Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Lake Wobegon Summer 1956, by Garrison Keillor
The Message Bible, by Eugene Peterson
