aggie basketball

I was proud of my Texas A&M Aggies for the way they showed up at the NCAA Tournament, beating Syracuse in the first round and coming within a few seconds of beating LSU to go to the Sweet 16. But the LSU senior made a heck of a three-pointer to win the game for the Tigers. It felt like we would pull it out, but if you’re going to go down, battling back-and-forth with a good team and falling short at the end with clutch play by both sets of players is the way you want to do it.

This just gets me more pumped up about the future of A&M basketball. Coach Gillespie has done a lot with the players he inherited, bringing out the best in them. I’m giddy imagining what he can do as we land stronger and stronger recruiting classes, which making the NCAA tourney and playing as well as we did ought to help with.
