bookmining update

Ok, there are few bugs getting worked out, but I’m too giddy to hold off. The new site is ready for viewing. Many thanks to my sis, Mindy, for redesigning the site. The book suggestion form and the discussion forums are still getting tweaked so that they’re ready for use, but go ahead and check out the new look.

As far as books go, I’m planning to start the next book July 1 and go on a quarterly schedule from there (Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, Oct-Dec). That way, we can get some consistency. You should be able to enter your book suggestions in the online form later this weekend. I’ll update here when that’s available. Suggestion finalists will be put into an online poll of some kind for readers to vote on to select.

I have a habit of reading Henri Nouwen’s In the Name of Jesus: Reflections on Christian Leadership around my United Methodist Annual Conference week each year (ours begins on Memorial Day annually, though others meet throughout the first 3 weeks of June). If anyone’s interested, I’ll be blogging it at some point during early June when I’m not unpacking boxes, and will probably put it on the BookMining discussion boards too. If you haven’t read it, it’s excellent.
